How do I fix heat creep / clogging mid-print?

  1. 1

    Lower nozzle temperature by 5–10°C. Heat creep happens when too much heat travels up the heatbreak — lower temps reduce this.

    Setting: others.nozzle.nozzleTemp

    Increase retraction speed and reduce retraction distance. Too many long retractions pull molten filament into the cold zone, causing clogs.

  3. 3

    Ensure the hotend fan (not part cooling fan) is running at 100%. This fan cools the heatbreak and prevents heat from creeping into the cold zone.
