How to Fix Blobs / Zits on Surface
Step-by-step fix for blobs / zits on surface on Bambu Lab printers including X1C, H2D, P1S, and A1.
How do I fix blobs / zits on surface?
- 1
Enable "Avoid crossing walls" and set seam position to "Back". Most blobs occur where the nozzle starts/stops — hiding this on the back face helps.
Setting:
quality.advanced.avoidCrossingWall - 2
Calibrate Pressure Advance / Linear Advance (PA). Blobs at direction changes are caused by pressure buildup in the nozzle — PA compensates for this.
- 3
Lower nozzle temperature by 5°C and increase retraction speed. This reduces oozing at travel start/end points that cause surface bumps.
Setting:
others.nozzle.nozzleTemp
Pro tip: Select "Good Cosmetics" above — it configures wall avoidance, seam hiding, and outer-first wall order that together minimize surface artifacts.
