How to Fix Bed Adhesion Failure / Part Detaching
Step-by-step fix for bed adhesion failure / part detaching on Bambu Lab printers including X1C, H2D, P1S, and A1.
How do I fix bed adhesion failure / part detaching?
- 1
Clean the build plate with 90%+ IPA (isopropyl alcohol). Fingerprints and residue are invisible but destroy adhesion. Do this before every print.
Setting:
Build plate - 2
Add a brim (5–8mm width) in Others > Bed settings. A brim increases first-layer contact area and is the most reliable adhesion fix.
Setting:
others.bed.brimType - 3
Increase first-layer bed temp by 5–10°C and slow first-layer speed to 20 mm/s. Hotter + slower = better squish and adhesion.
Setting:
others.bed.firstLayerBedTemp
Pro tip: Select "Good Cosmetics" above — the recommended first-layer settings also improve adhesion reliability.
